We are looking for a Packaging Lead who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and driven to deliver results. This role is based out of our Delta, BC facility and reports into the Packaging Supervisor.
As a Packaging Lead, you play a critical role in delivering an exceptional consumer experience. You are the on-shift leader for your assigned process, ensuring packaging activities run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance.
This role is ideal for someone who leads from the floor, takes ownership of their area, and is motivated to leave a tangible impact on both the product and the team.
You lead by example, hold a high standard for your work, and bring a strong sense of accountability. You are a vocal and approachable leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring junior team members, helping elevate performance across the team. A passion for cannabis is a strong asset but not required.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of our team of Packaging Operators to deliver the portion of the daily Packaging schedule assigned to you by Supervisors.
- Assess labor needs and adjust as needed.
- Lead daily Packaging activities as assigned by Supervisors, including:
- Packaging activities, including whole flower packaging, pre-roll Packaging, topical Packaging, vape cartridge Packaging, and concentrate portioning and Packaging.
- Take ownership of the delivery of our standard operating procedures for the Packaging activity you are leading.
- Promote and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness; ensure all sanitation criteria are met.
- Administer training and onboarding programs for packaging operators. Monitor operator performance and give on-the-job training and coaching to drive improvement.
- Help track and maintain consumable inventory levels.
- Complete inventory and quality record-keeping accurately and timely
- Own Packaging equipment:
- Understand how all Packaging equipment works and be able to train Operators.
- Assist the Packaging Supervisors to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to, and breakdowns are corrected in a timely fashion.
- Provide feedback to Packaging Supervisors on improvement opportunities for our equipment.
- Ensure that Packaging Operators know and follow safety protocols and all SOPs. Document their training in a timely fashion.
- Take part in Continuous Improvement projects as directed by Packaging Supervisors
- Maintain KPI tracking files accurately and on time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced Packaging setting with at least 30 staff members
- Prior experience with coaching and training staff
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, problem solving and organization.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends.
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
- Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is an asset.
- Health Canada Cannabis Act security clearance is an asset.
- Primary shift is 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Occasional coverage for PM shifts will be required.

Compensation
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
