Propagation & Cultivation Nursery Supervisor - 18 Month Contract (Hope, BC)

Propagation & Nursery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned compartment and associated activities to ensure tasks are carried out according to established SOPs. This role is critical to maintaining a high quality, super-premium product through close monitoring of the plants throughout the lifecycle, supporting IPM (scouting/pest management) and fertigation activities, and communicating relevant findings to leadership. This role reports directly to the Senior Cultivation Manager and is based out of our Hope location.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day cultivation activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in line with production schedules.
- Lead, coach, and support team members in executing core cultivation tasks, including pruning, topping, bending, defoliation, and harvest activities.
- Coordinate sanitation, waste management, and room turnaround to maintain operational readiness.
- Monitor plant health daily, complete required documentation, and escalate any concerns or observations to the Senior Cultivation Manager.
- Support pest management activities, including scouting, monitoring, and applying preventative or foliar treatments.
- Ensure full compliance with facility SOPs, including gowning, sanitation, safety protocols, confidentiality, and inventory traceability.
- Maintain accurate plant tracking from clone to harvest using seed-to-sale systems, and support monthly inventory audits.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring adherence to all workplace safety standards.
- Support team performance by maintaining strong morale, productivity, and accountability on shift.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to the Greenhouse Manager to enhance efficiency while maintaining product quality.
- Escalate employee concerns, performance issues, or safety risks to the Senior Cultivation Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, ideally within a production, manufacturing, or cultivation environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively support and guide a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Physically capable of standing, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials or plants up to 50 lbs.
- Spanish language skills (spoken) are considered an asset.
- Health Canada security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is an asset.

Compensation
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
