The Cultivation Team Lead is responsible for helping Supervisors oversee assigned compartment and associated activities to ensure tasks are carried out according to established SOPs. This role is critical to maintaining a high quality, super-premium product through close monitoring of the plants throughout the lifecycle, supporting IPM (scouting/pest management) and fertigation activities, and communicating relevant findings to leadership. This role reports to the Cultivation Supervisor and based out of Delta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Supervisors in ensuring employees follow all facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including gowning, sanitation, workplace safety, confidentiality, and inventory traceability.
- Assist with day-to-day cultivation activities, including defoliation, pruning, topping, bending, and harvesting.
- Support training and oversight of team members performing cultivation and sanitation tasks.
- Participate in sanitation, waste disposal, and room turnaround activities.
- Work with team members on plant scouting, pest monitoring, and foliar and preventative treatments.
- Monitor plant health daily and complete required forms and checklists; communicate observations and concerns to the Senior Cultivation Manager.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking from clone through harvest using seed-to-sale software and conduct monthly inventory audits to maintain full traceability.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Recommend process improvements to increase productivity while maintaining product quality.
- Support employee safety, morale, and productivity, and report any issues or concerns to the Senior Cultivation Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience working in cannabis flowering rooms or a similar horticultural or greenhouse environment (cannabis experience strongly preferred).
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety practices, and compliance in a regulated production environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality, with strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to support and assist in training and overseeing team members performing cultivation and sanitation tasks.
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred); English proficiency required for documentation, reporting, and compliance.
- Ability to monitor plant health and identify issues such as pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Comfortable performing physical work, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in warm or humid environments.
- Comfortable using Excel and seed-to-sale tracking systems (experience with cultivation software is an asset).
- High attention to detail with the ability to complete documentation and checklists accurately.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Compensation
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
